The Ventura Film Festival Celebrating Conservation Awareness Through Filmmaking

The Ventura Film Festival functions as an unrestricted genre international film festival that raises awareness for environmental matters like woodland and marine conservation and recovery, via an annual film festival and associated activities. The Ventura Film Festival was founded in 2004 and has exhibited numerous cinematic works, regularly over 200 films during summer months, and has captured notice from the global cinema community. The Ventura Film Festival founder and executive director was honored to take part, alongside numerous Hollywood elite, in the half-century commemoration of West Side Story and Hollywood's footprint/handprint ceremony for Academy Award champions Rita Moreno, George Chakiris, together with Golden Globe champion Russ Tamblyn at the iconic Chinese Theater in Hollywood. This event also doubled as the official BluRay release by Fox and MGM of West Side Story, which is widely considered by critics and fans to be the greatest musical of all time.
